Who we are

Carly Williams (she/they) is the Founder of Fiddlehead Strategies and a strategic partner to Maine nonprofits and small businesses.

For over a decade, Carly has led organizational change efforts across sectors including aging services, education, arts and culture, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and community development.

Carly blends facilitation, coalition strategy, and complex project leadership to translate vision into coordinated, sustainable action.

Professional Highlights

  • Led the advocacy and coalition strategy that secured a $6M state investment in aging services.

  • Built systems and teams that scaled Panorama Education from $2M to $50M ARR and from 45 to 400+ staff.

  • Directed a statewide vaccination initiative delivering 9,000 vaccinations across Maine.

  • Facilitated retreats and multi‑month alignment processes for organizations including the Maine Business School, Maine Women’s Lobby, and Equality Maine.

Whether facilitating a retreat, guiding a coalition, or architecting a multi‑phase implementation plan, Carly brings steadiness, curiosity, and a deep commitment to helping organizations better serve their communities.

Originally from Damariscotta Mills, Maine, Carly lives in South Portland with their spouse Xenia and two cats, Cabinet and Popcorn Sue. Carly loves to garden and adventure with friends.
